This Range Downdraft Vent Up/Down Switch raises and lowers the vent when you push the switch. Place a blanket over the cooktop to protect it. Grip the sides of the top trim on the vent and pull it straight up to detach it. Unthread the two screws securing the push button switch and lift the old switch out by disconnecting the wires. You'll need to transfer the mounting bracket from the old switch to the new part. Installing this part will require basic hand tools, some disassembly of the cooktop and novice repair experience. You must unplug the appliance or shut off the house circuit breaker for the appliance before installing this part.
