Description
The Whirlpool 80040 Agitator Dogs are the directional cogs inside the upper agitator that allow it to ratchet in one direction during the wash cycle. When these cogs wear out, the upper agitator spins freely in both directions and clothes are no longer properly agitated. Replacing the agitator dogs restores full washing action and is one of the most common top-load washer repairs.
